We have released a lightweight yet powerful tool: the PNG2WEBP Converter. This app allows you to convert PNG images into the modern WebP format – directly on your local computer, without installation and without cloud dependency.

The tool start by double-clicking (png2webp.exe, only Windows) - runs locally with an integrated PHP server and offers two operating modes:

• Demo-Modus: Ideal for testing - here you can upload and convert up to 3 PNG files at the same time.
• Full functionality (demo disabled): In full mode, you can convert complete folder structures - all PNG images in the directory images/convert/ including subfolders are automatically detected and converted. Optionally, the original PNGs can be deleted automatically after successful conversion.

PNG2WEBP Converter works efficiently, securely and completely locally – no data leaves your computer. Perfect for web developers, designers or anyone who wants to optimize large amounts of image.
